Total Eclipse of the Moon

Posted by: kelgarneal | August 26, 2007 | 3 Comments |

Ok, so we were wrong about the Mars looking like another Moon, but I do have real evidence that a total lunar eclipse of the Moon will occur this Tuesday morning.  The best time to view it is at 5:37 a.m. our time.  I went to NASA’s site to confirm and found this diagram to share with you.  So, have any of you seen an eclipse of the moon?  As quoted by NASA, “During a total lunar eclipse, the Moon’s disk can take on a dramatically colorful appearance from bright orange to blood red to dark brown and (rarely) very dark gray.”  The next total lunar eclipse will not occur until next February.  So get up a little earlier Tuesday morning and check it out!  Happy sky gazing!  Mrs. N
